World Premium of REP actor Michael Gotch's second attempt to also be a playwriter. Not as successful as his first but it had it's moments. The depressing ending however left the audience underwhelmed. |
Slow start but the second act picked up the pace with a wide range of emotions. Poignant story of lonely Irish farmers with a happy ending. |
Most of the REP regulars and quite a few guests perform this disturbing tale of the Salem Witch Trails which unfortunately is still relevant today. Well done, but hard to walk away with a good feeling. René Thornton, who joined the REP this year, was outstanding and provided a glimmer of hope that standing up for principles is noble even if fatal. (We were fortunate to catch the show since the remaining performances were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.) |
The pandemic put an abrupt halt to going out to the theatre and we forfeited the following tickets.
Delaware Theatre Company - Million Dollar Quartet, An Act of God, The Lifespan of a Fact, Forever Plaid: Plaid Tidings, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Other World: A New Musical.
The Playhouse on Rodney Square -The Play That Goes Wrong, The Color Purple, Colin Jost.
The Resident Ensemble Players - The Whipping Man, Round and Round the Garden.
All venues hope to reschedule, but time will tell. |
