Well acted as usual, and great set, but a bit too bleak, dreary and didactic. |

A bit sappy, but decent acting, great sets and clever costume changes. |

Provocative and full of surprises. Tackles questions of race, morality, human nature and the power of money. Deveoped by DTC and headed to off Broadway. Best of luck! |

We've seen the original as well as Lord of the Dance and were excited to see the revival, but it fell short. Much smaller cast and the drift away from Celtic only dance had mixed results, though the mashup with American Urban Tap was energenic. |

A story about a boy searching for the meaning of life, with circus performers. No wait, it was about the son of Charlemagne, with circus performers. End Act 1. Now it appears to be about a boy searching for an ordinary life, with circus performers. No wait, it is really a play within a play, about circus performers. After 2 hours and 45 minutes, I'm still not quite sure what it was about. Kudos though to Savannah Sprinkle as Catherine. |

Revulsion, compassion and pity. At times upliftling but ultimately very sad. Great job by the regulars as usual. Felt cheated at the strart that there was no attempt to add prostheitcs to visualize the deformities and was worried that skinny MIchael Gotch couldn't pull off the illusion, but he did. |

While not traditional Celtic music, an enjoyable tale of an Irish musician finding his muse. Recognized the "hit" song Falling Slowly and gainied an appeciation for it now knowing it's backstory. |

Best show of the season. Hypocrisy and gulliblity haven't changed since the 17th century so Molère's witty farce is as relevant as ever. The usual great acting, but they really went all out with the set and costums this time. |

Original production in both the sense that it was new and different and that it is the US premier of a British play, produced by DTC. Combining an uplifting children's story with acrobatics is unique and highly entertaining. We were down on DTC a few years ago, but this has been an excellent season. |

One of the most moving performances in quite some time and a terrific start to the season. A fictional story of the night before Martin Luther King, Jr.'s assassination. Powerful performances from REP's newest actors and a surprising twist that I didn't see coming. |

The opposite end of the emotonal scale from last night's REP performance of The Mountaintop, and a welcome diversion. A larger than life family living life to it's fullest with a few digs at a conventional lifestyle. Lots of guests including recent PTTP grads and from Houston's Alley Theatre. |

Three great plays on three consecutive nights. This one was quite unique being a sci-fi musical, with some amazing special effects. First novel that Barbara read as a child, but I was unfamiliar with the story. Very well performed, even by the child actors. |

One man show, written and performed by Tommie J. Moore about the first black heavyweight champion, Jack Johnson. Fascinating story of which I knew very little. Moore has also written a screenplay so it will be interesting to see if it ever gets produced. |

In the year that The Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus gave their final performance it was sad to see such a small audience for this Chinese group which was founded in 1948. I'm still a fan, but other than Cirque du Soleil, circus acts are a dying breed. This was an intimate performance without any technological flash, just pure athleticsim and beauty. |

Should have liked it more, the acting and singing were fine, some good special effects, but it felt dissapointing. Perhaps it was the overly familar dialog which at times was verbatim from the film, and perhaps it was the fact that Dorothy wasn't performed by a child. She did a fine job, but no one would ever present Annie with an adult lead. |

Third time we have seen this play though some topical jokes have been updated. Very funny and all three actors gave great perfomances. We've seen Jeffrey Hawkens numerous times going back to his PTTP days. Makes me want to see Hamlet again. |

A World Premier written for the UD Resident Ensemble Players and a smashing success. This play deserves a wider audience so hopefully someonw will pick it up. The regulars all did their usual outstanding jobs but the addition of guest artist Celesine Rae made it even more special. Kathleen Pirkl Tague deserves kudos for pushing the boundaries of her usual roles. Well done team. |
