Powerful and sobering tale about one man's struggle to keep his boyhood memories alive from his time spent in a concentration camp. Based on real peole and real events it is aimed at Holocaust Deniers who would prefer that these stories fade away. Great to see stage legends Ed Asner and Tovah Felshuh and joined by two more talented actors Liba Vaynberg and Ned Eisenberg. Only the third performance of a 4 month tour, but they nailed it. Joined on stage with playwright Jeff Cohen for Q & A. |

World premier of play by Michael Gotch, REP actor and director and now playwright. Casting was perfect with an unusual addition of two guests taking major roles. Started out sharp and funny, but kind of dragged after a few drawn out arguments and monologues. Great start for Michael but I think it needs a little work. The effort put into the REP sets continues to amaze and I'd like to take this one home and put it in my backyard.. |

Kudos to Bud Martin for venturing outside of DTC's comfort zone to present this Shaw classic and I really wanted to like it. Good set, the acting was superb, especially Clare O'Malley in the lead role (who also excelled in the lead for Hetty Feather) but somehow the performance fell flat. |

Peter Pan is probably my favorite childhood story so know it well, but I was unfamiliar with the story of it's author and the inspiration behind it. Broadway musical at it's best: big cast, big sets, big songs, laughter, tears, magical special effects in one of the final scenes, and a dog. (Music was OK but nothing I will be adding to my playlist.) |

"The Pseudohistory of the World's First Musical!" or "Renaissance Spamalot" with Will Shakespeare as a rock star. Very funny, memorable tunes and decent acting. Especially good was Greg Kalafatas as Nostradamus. Lots of Broadway jokes that I got, many others I didn't, but it was thoroughly enjoyable. |

The Ugly Duckling story as a musical. Pleasant enough but probably would have enjoyed it more if we had Cannon with us. |

UD's collaboration with Theresa Rebeck, who has previously written new plays for REP, continues to pay big dividends with this revival. Even as a former philatelist, I did not get the numerous references to rare stamps, but it was a fascinating world and perfect backdrop for intrigue. Shouldn't need to repeat that the performances were excellent as usual but Elizabeth Heflin extended her range with her steely character. |

Groundbreaking closing show of the season. The other closing season production was also written by a contempory playwright, but I belive this is the first time that there was only one REP member, Hassan El-Amin in the lead, surrounded by six guest actors. Also probably the only REP play with an all black cast. Bittersweet look at a strugling family in the post WWII years. |

A handful of moving memorable songs, well acted and sung by the leads, but dragged at times. Lauren Kidwell as The Mother Abbess had the most impressive pipes. |

Nice to see a couple of old TV comedy stars, Sally Struthers from All In The Family and Anson Williams from Happy Day, in very different roles. A sad, somewhat depressing story of two couples as they grow old and face life's challenges. When 3 of the 4 actors are dead at the end of the play, it's hard to walk out happy, but it was well done. |

I was surprised by how much I liked it. I was expecting more rap and hip hop but they were used sparingly and in good humor. I read the book quite a few years ago and will now have to reread it since I had forgotten so many events. Not quite as good as Les Miz but it makes it onto my all time favorites list. |

Fun show combining elelments of Stomp and the Blue Man Group with a little gymnastics and song thrown in. 10 minutes too long for Cannon but he loved the slapstick. |

A new musical retelling the Cinderalla story, but with a twist. Broadway production values, but kept short to keep the kids interested. |

I wasn't expecting a comedy of a Sherlock Holmes novel, but these three guys deftly pulled off multiple roles in a witty, slapstick farce. Saw the story in a whole new light. |

The new season starts off with another spectacular production, though a bit unsettling. Dysfunctional familes are a prime subject for both comedy and drama, and this managed both. Several fine guests joined the regulars while Kathleen Pirkl Tague got to pull out all the stops with a very over-the-top complicated character. |

Started slow and I wasn't convinced that it would have a future on Broadway, but a clever twist with Harry Hamlin and Stephanie Powers playing three sets of siblings connected by a plane crash proved to be very compelling. HIghly recommended and I wish them the best on Broadway. |

A nice change of pace witnessing a dying art. Joseph Cashore has been designing and performing professionally for over 30 years but got hooked at age 11. With his complex manipulation he is able to bring his creations to life with simple and engaging stories. |

An excellent performance is a given for all REP shows and the sets are usually elaborate as well, but they went all out this time. Possibly one of their best of all time. Lee Ernst as Poirot naturally nailed it. One small quibble, but understandable. In the novel and movies, there are twelve conspirators while the play only included eight. |

A holiday tradition that seems to require a new gimmick each year. This time it was an all female cast. Liked it better when they used puppets. |
