A bit of a departure for REP, and the gamble paid off. I remember jumping out of my seat when Audrey Hepburn was fighting in the dark, so was prepared, but ti was still thrilling. Kudos to Michael Gotch who got to direct. Nice stage effects to compliment the always great acting. |

Crappy photo from a crappy show. Talented cast, but I am unable to enjoy a show if all the characters are unlikable. Minimalist set with the orchestra and entire cast on stage didn't help. Being in the third row we could see the bored expressions on the musicians and the idle cast members. |

We were down on DTC several years ago, but they have come back strong. Another great show with a local connection. Fascinating story about the relationship between Jamie Wyeth and Rudolf Nureyev, two very similar talented, focused artists. |

Re-watched the move recently in anticipation of this show and expected to be disappointed, but it translated very well to the stage. I don't remember the book, but I liked having the adult Scout as the narrator. The kid actors were able to hold their own and it was good to see Sara back. |

Riverdance joins WWE. Not much of a dance fan, but I usually enjoyed Irish step dancing, especially the flamboyant Riverdance variety, but this one was awful. The "actors" occasionally made faces, hoping we were following the story, while the distorted music blared as if it were a Who concert, and the stage lights continually blinded us. Came away with a memorable headache. Barbara liked it. |

Things We Do For Love |

A nice change of pace for REP doing a little known play by a little known (in the U.S.) playwright, Alan Ayckbourn. Billed as a dark comedy, there was a lot more comedy than darkness, with easily believable character flaws. Very clever set showing actors feet on the third floor and tops of heads in the basement. Regular cast, in their typical roles, doing their expected great performances. |

Started slow, and I began too nod off, but then some familiar tunes brought me back. The story was unoriginal, but well acted, danced and sung. Caitlin Ehlinger in her tour debut as Peggy Sawyer was very charming and has a bright future. Matthew J. Taylor as Julian Marsh also did a great job. |

I should have liked this more than I did. Impressive set, well acted, absurb humor, lampooning pompousness, but it somehow fell flat. |

Interesting story of Mark Rothko and his assistant creating the Seagram Murals. I never got the appeal of abstract expressionism but the dedication of the tortured artist overshadowed his angst-ridden, arrogant, angry outbursts. As expected, the acting of Stephen Pelinski as Rothko and Michael Gotch was stellar in a sparse but intimate and effective set. |

Opening night of the 2016-2017 season. A few technical glitches but a very enjoyable performance. While unable to recreate the destruction seen in the movie version, they did a good job simulating it in the best theatre tradition, including a clever touch with the chandelier. Good start to the season. |

Two new guys join the 2 veteran women for the season's opening performance. The slow breakdown of pretense was funny, but sheilded a disturbing reality. New guys were former PTTP students, but probably before we were subscribers. |

Well done as always, but much too bleak to be thoroughly enjoyable. A classic all theater fans should probaly check off thier bucket list, but no need to see it a second time. |

Front row seats, but very dissapointing. Gimmick of using 3 actors for 12 roles just seemed like cost cutting. Device of switching hats to identify the character didn't even make in light of the fact that it was supposed to be a radio play. |

I love politics, but perhaps since we are going through such an awful campaign, I was intially turned off by this highly polical drama. After the first act though, I focused more on the characters, and the historical political references became icing on the cake. Well acted, though being opeing night, the lead did stumble on a few lines. |

A good old fashioned throwback muscial comedy. Clever storyline, catchy songs, a few spiffy technological flourishes and good singing and acting. Taking the bow, John Rapson did a great job playing the 8 family members on the wall. |

An odd adaptation of the classic. Enjoyed the added humor and use of puppets, but it seemed to diminish the importance of the message. |

HIgh energy fun with a serious undertone promoting tolerance and acceptance. Enjoyed the movie, and Cyndi Lauper's score made it even more enjoyable. Terrific performance by J. Harrison Ghee as Lola, as well as Tiffany Engen as Lauren. Adam Kaplan as Charlie was OK, but I would have preferred a stronger voice. |
