The Queen |

The first set started off promising with the band covering Johnny Cash's big hits, though somewhat disappointing as they explained they were not trying to imitate his sound, just honor the music. All the songs tended to sound the same however since they all got a rock n roll update. Things went quickly downhill when additions of June Carter Cash and Walyon Jennings wannabes were added. We walked out soon after the second set started. |

Energetic Celtic Rock with primarily original tunes in the style of the Pouges. Would have enjoyed it more with a heavier mix of the few electrified traditional songs. |

Repeat performance for the group and we've seen Sara, Sarah and Aoife as solo artists as well. Playing together seems to bring out the best in them. A little odd that they gave the opening act a full 40 minute set, but Billy Strings was an amazing bluegrass guitar picker. |

Charming, extremely talented, and a thoroughly enjoyable mix of classical and pop tunes, and in spite of her modest claim that she couldn't sing, some beautiful songs as well. |

Have seen the band several times and they always stick fathfully to an album note for note but do not try to replicate the vocals so sometimes seem like merely a cover band. Tonight's shoiw started with a similar disappointment but the joy of the music eventually took over and it turned out to be an enjoyable night of Beatles songs. |

Down to earth folkie with some good tunes and I wanted to enjoy him more than I did, but he couldn't hold my attention. |

An annual tradition that brightens every Spring. Xiang Gao comes up with a creative theme each year and this time honors one of my passions, National Parks. Great classical music accompanied by stunnig photography and a few clever videos. First half was one of my favorites, Vivaldi's Four Seasons, though is may be the first time seeeing it performed in it's entirety. As usual he dosen't take all the glory but let's his students, and his daughter, occasionlayy take the lead. Already looking forward to next year. (I usually try to take a photo of the curtain call, but there wasn't one, so I was glad I took this shot before the show). |

We have been going to Musikfest for over 20 years, but this is the first time we have driven to Bethlehem for a one day only day trip. Motivated primarily to see We Banjos 3 for the third time and to dine again at Fegley's Bethlehem Brew Works. |

Third time seeing her in concert and we can't get enough. Different from the other shows in that she is teamed with her significant other taking her in a more World Music direction. |

A return to our favorite Celtic festival but this time for only a day trip and for the first time, my sister joined us. Hadn't seen Tempest in quite a few years who opened the day, followed by two new to us artists, The Jeremiahs and Emish and closing with perennial favorite Seamus Kennedy. |

Always a thrill to discover new talent and this show was the first stop on this New Zealander's North American tour. Literally, a one man band using a loop pedal extensively to record and playback a wide varity of instruments for each song. Seemed gimmicky at first but his hard work was admirable and it produced some fine entertainment. Enjoyed all of his albums on Spotify the following day. |

We've seen several Beatles tribute band but the first time for this group who've been together for 21 years. Played it straight, no costumes or phony accents, and had a great time presenting great music. Nice touch having a horn and string section so they didn't have to rely on synthesizers. |

Still in development, but has the potential to be a hit musical for UD's Xiang Gao. We have attended his annual iMusic shows since the first one and he always finds a way to creatively come up with something different each year, but this is a big leap into musical theatre. Compelling story of jewish refugees in China and a clever mixture of chinese, jewish and classical music. Hope it succeeds all the way to Broadway. |

Throwback to a Sixties sensibility with a very appealing message and accompanying personality. New to everyone in the audience, but she won over some converts. |

While lead singer and co-founder Patrick Murphy sits in his wheelchair, a local dance troupe takes the spotlight. That crazy Irishman jumped off a balcony last week and broke both legs. He had a four hour surgery this morning, but still performed the whole set. We were scheduled for a Meet & Greet after the show but he came out and apologized that he was in pain and had to go back to the hotel. Apology accepted. |
