stories concerning the deaths of his father John and brother Jonathan. Some
wonder whether John was actually killed in Tazewell County, or whether he was
killed somewhere else and his widow and the boys were living on the Clinch
River at the time they set out for Kentucky. Julia Hunt was very specific
that they were living on the Clinch River at the time he was killed.
