Lizzy or Granny as she was known by everyone and changed her name to
Elizabeth. It seems this was common, in our family, to change your name if
you didn't like it. This happened a lot in the 1700 and 1800's. MaMa had
long black hair. I don't ever remember seeing any white in it, and she never
cut it. One time she had it down and it went almost to the ground, but most
of the time it was rolled up into a bun on her head. Granny had big ears and
I believe most of us got ours from her, like taxi cab doors some say.
