George as he was later to be known also changed his name back to the origional
spelling Minier while he was in Pa.
George arrived with his brother Christianus in Philadelphia in 1732 on the
ship Mary of London from Rotterdam, Holland and Cowes, England. His age given as 26 and
Christianus age as 28. In England, the immigrants were required to take an
oath of allegiance to Great Britain. On board were Christianus, Johann Georg and
Catharina Minnir and their young son Johannes (John).
