JAMES M. ZERBE, of Lower Mahanoy Township, father of RUSSEL L. ZERBE, 456 Third St., Northumberland, died December 15 at his home near Dalmatia. He was 81 years old.
Born at Mahantango, Feb 6 1866, a son of the late THOMAS and CATHARINE MESSNER ZERBE.
He was a retired Reading Company and Pennsylvania Railroad employee. During his years with the two companies he had worked in Tamaqua, Reading, and Berwick.
He had been a resident of Dalmatia area since 1916.
Survived by: son, RUSSEL; brother, JOHN ZERBE, Dalmatia.
Funeral: R. L. Davis & Son, Northumberland was in charge. Held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 PM at Lutheran Reformed Church, Dalmatia. Rev. Walter E. Wagner, pastor, officiated.
Burial: Lutheran Reformed Church Cemetery, Dalmatia.

Son of the late ISREAL* and ELIZABETH BENSINGER WETZEL, he was born in Mt. Carmel, March 13 1900.
Survivors: wife, EMMA SHIPMAN WETZEL; six children: MRS. GARY BRADLEY, Harrisburg; DONALD, HARRY, SANDRA, ROBERT, and WILLIAM all at home; one grandchild; two brothers, JOHN E. WETZEL, Lavelle; EUGENE WETZEL, Lexington Park, MD; two sisters, MRS. HANNAH REICHWEIN, Norristown; MRS. CATHARINE HUNSINGER, Sugarloaf, Pa.
Funeral Services: Monday, 2:00 PM, Church of the Nazarene, Lavelle. Revs. Carl Swanger, Ashland, and Donald Phillips, Lavelle, officiated. Lawrence E. Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown RD.
Burial: Citizens Cemetery, Lavelle, Pa.
