Joseph F. Talley

Age 81 passed away May 21, 2010 at Manor Care in Wilmington,DE.

A native of Chadds Ford, he was the son of the late Joseph H. Talley and Ann Robinson Talley, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anne.

Joe loved bluegrass music and played the saxophone in Chris Sanderson's band from age 12. He joined the Coast Guard after high school. After the military, he returned to Chadds Ford where he and Anne raised their family. He built many homes during his working years until his retirement from Chalfont Construction Co. Joe and Anne then retired to Potter County. He loved playing sports, especially golf which was a passion, and playing poker with lifelong friends. He also loved to walk and sit on his picnic drinking a cold beer.

Joe will be sadly missed by his children; Joseph F. Talley Jr. (Debra), Michele Y Palmer (Jim), Dana Kimbro and Timothy Talley; His grandchildren and great-grandchildren and all of his well-loved nieces and nephews will also miss him.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10am on May 25 at St. Thomas the Apostle, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA, where friends may call after 9 am. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
